Good detergent!!!
"It’s really good stuff!!"
Clean detailing towels with Micro-Restore microfiber laundry detergent, formulated to remove oily soils, wax, and other stubborn residue. Follow the label directions for your load size and soil level, wash separately from cotton, and avoid fabric softener to help maintain microfiber performance.
Detailing towels collect more than everyday dirt. Oils, waxes, dressings, and cleaning products can remain in the fabric after use, affecting how towels absorb water and wipe surfaces.
Micro-Restore microfiber laundry detergent is formulated to remove stubborn soils and oily residue from microfiber. A consistent washing routine helps keep your towels ready for their next detailing task.
Separate heavily soiled wheel and engine towels from microfiber used on paint, glass, and interiors. Wash microfiber separately from cotton to reduce the transfer of lint, and separate dark colors from lighter fabrics when needed.
Follow the detergent label and towel care instructions for dosage, washing temperature, and load size. Adding more detergent than required can leave residue rather than improve cleaning.
Our Microfiber University guide, How to Wash Microfiber, explains washing, drying, and common care mistakes.
Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets, which can leave deposits that interfere with microfiber performance. Use the drying method recommended for the product and avoid excessive heat.
Inspect freshly washed towels before returning them to your kit. A towel that retains embedded debris or feels stiff should be set aside from delicate finishing work.
Keep glass towels and paint and coating towels assigned to their intended tasks.
Organize clean and used towels separately so contamination does not travel through your detailing kit.
Explore towel storage and organizing bags for collecting laundry and keeping clean microfiber sorted.
For broader guidance on towel selection and organization, read Microfiber for Detailing. A practical care system starts with sorting at the point of use and continues through washing, drying, inspection, and storage.
Add 2 ounces of microfiber towel detergent to standard size (8 gallon) loads. For larger loads or heavily soiled laundry, add 3–6 ounces.
As a prespotter: dilute 1 part concentrate with 3 parts water. Apply to stain and launder as usual.
